Removing fallen trees with a chainsaw is not hard, but there are several safety precautions you should be aware of. First and foremost, the chainsaw should be equipped with a chain brake and a kickback chain catcher. A kickback chain catcher protects your legs from getting injured by the chain if the chain gets caught in the wood and the hand pulling the saw back suddenly jerks down. A chain brake stops the chain from spinning when you release the trigger so it doesn't continue cutting if the wood moves or if you get caught.

First thing you do is take off the dead branches. The goal is to cut the tree as close to the ground as possible. This will leave you with a stump which you can remove easily after. After that, it's just a matter of cutting off the trunk at the proper angle.

Chainsaws are extremely useful for cutting large trees. I am not an expert, but here is how you can cut your fallen trees.
